Hoppers now (9-1) over their last 10 games, and (19-3) over their previous three and a-half weeks of SALLY League action…Hoppers with now 8 straight victories…Grasshoppers with their 3 1/2 game lead, over the Hudson Valley Renegades, in the second half of the Season of the Summer in SALLY League North…Aberdeen Ironbirds 4 games behind the Hoppers, at (7-6)…Jersey Shore BlueClaws six games back of the Grasshoppers, at (5-8)…

The Greensboro Grasshoppers fell behind in the Fourth of July game vs. Aberdeen, and it was 3-0 IronBirds, at the end of the third inning, on the strenth of Creed Willems 12th home run of the season, and it came as a solo shot for the Birds, in the Top of Third…Douglas Hodo III smacked his 4th HR of the year, and his RBI total jumped up to 14 RBI, on the Big Hit by Hodo….

The Greensboro Grasshoppers starting pitcher, Hunter Barco went five innings to get the victory, and he goes to (4-1), with the Win…Barco allowed 3 runs, on 4 hits, with 0 BB/5 Ks, and he gave up the two HRs….The Hoppers bullpen, was in primary support of Barco, as the Hoppers releivers, Elijah Birdsong and Yoldin De La Paz combined with Barco, to Walk NO/Zero Bird batters….Pitching has been real strong this week for the Hometown Hoppers….

Hoppers were down 3-0 early in the contest, and then they got hot, and it started getting real warm for the Grasshoppers in the bottom of the Third Inning, when they trailed 3-0, and they got a big boost in the arm, the left arm to be exact, as the Hoppers’ Termarr Johnson left the yard with a three-run HR, to right field…The Hoppers looked up and they were up, 5-3, at the end of the third inning…

That home run by Johnson was a BIG BOOST, with TJ getting his 8th HR, and also it increased his RBI, to 34 for the season…Kalae Harrison got in on the act, as he connected for a two-run home run, in the fifth inning…Score now, Hoppers 7, IronBirds 3…

Barco limited the damage incurred, during his time out there on The Bump, then Elijah Birdsong came in the middle innings, and Birdsong gave up a couple of hits, but he did not allow any Bird runs…Birdsong, no Bird runs, plus just one hit off of Birdsong, with 0 BB/1 K….Aldoin De La Paz, with 1 Run/2 Hits/0 BBs/4 Ks…Birdsong and De La Paz, very focused for this Fourth of July Special, on 2024…Birdsong and De La Paz, each worked two innings, in the Hoppers’ win…

The Grasshoppers committed 3 errors, but they drew 11 Walks, and the Hoppers’ pitching staff led by starter Hunter Barco, Walked No/Zero IronBirds…

Grasshoppers pitcher Hunter Barco took down the IronBirds, 1-2-3/3 Up/3 Down, in both the fourth and fifith innings…The fourth inning was about a 48 second inning…Douglas Hodo III went 2-4/HR/Run/2 RBI…Two-run homer for Hodo III…Creed Willems went 1-4/HR, and it was HR #12, and RBI #43 for Willems…Luis Valdes goes 2-3/Triple/Bunt Single/2 Runs…
