One-run games are the rule this week in the Greensboro Grasshoppers-Bowling Green Hot Rods games at First National Bank Field…BG won on Tuesday 5-4, Hoppers take it Wednesday 2-1, Hoppers win again on Thursday, this time, 5-4, and finally on Friday, we see Hoppers over Hot Rods, 4-3…This is one heck of a reoccurring theme, and it is going good these nights, for the Greensboro Grasshoppers…
Full Disclosure, I was not Friday night’s game, as I was working on the high school football trail…But, I saw where Jack Brannigan got hot…He had a Home Run Shot, he had two Doubles, and he was 3-4 at the plate, with his two-run Home Run, he had those Doubles too, and it was good to see Jack with a big whack(HR) and his Two Doubles…ALL extra-base hits for Brannigan on this night, and he had half of the Hoppers six hits…Josiah Sightler also got busy going 1-2/Double/BB/Run/RBI…Hudson Head went 1-3/Run/RBI…Lonnie White Jr. was 1-4/Run…
The Hoppers walked two times and struck out 13 times in the one-run contest…The Hoppers bullpen of Garrett McMillan, Ryan Harbin, and Mike Walsh gave up 0/Zero Runs, on one Hit, over their Six Innings of work…Strong Hopper pen on this Friday night….
