Some fans happy and some fans riled up and sad to see their teams not doing so good so far in 2024…Got to celebrate the ones that are getting it done, and wait on the others to get back into the fold…We have seen teams that were down and it looked like they were pretty much ready to fall off the face of the planet, but today we see them roaring back…So be patient and keep up the faith, and there’s a good chance you will see your team back in the hunt, and making positive noise again soon….
Let’s get back to the heart of the matter, and we covered a lot of ground last night in our Friday Night Finish, but let’s rewind the tape and see how it looks after we let it all sit in the Fridge overnight…Anybody seen any news on “The Fridge” lately???

(Hit the Rewind button Herman.)
Here was the word from her back on February 29 of this year…
Today is my last day at WFMY News 2. I’m not the same person I walked in the door as 4.5 years ago. I’m better because of this job, and for that I’m grateful. If you were to tell me I’d cover historic moments in sports like being at the ACC tournament when a pandemic shut it down, following Coach K around the country for his final tournament run, UNC-Duke in the Final Four for the first time ever, an NCAA national championship game, and the Panthers number 1 draft pick… and in the middle of it all, take over as the lead sports anchor, I wouldn’t believe you. This business is all about timing, such as life, and I’m glad I was here during this time. Thankful for the players, and coaches who have shared parts of their lives with me, the best and worst moments. One of my favorite parts about this industry is the people you meet along the way. I’m so lucky to have worked with and alongside some special ones. From the bottom of my heart, thank you…

Here is just a taste on that article from Joel Bryant, the EF Eagles Bryce Baker is a true Touchdown Maker…
Not even halfway through the first quarter, East Forsyth had a top 25 matchup practically won.
The No. 5 EF Eagles broke out to a 28-0 lead over No. 21 A.C. Reynolds after the first and went on to win 49-14 in a running clock.
Senior 4-star UNC quarterback commit Bryce Baker was sensational. Baker pushed the ball down the field and did so accurately. In three plays, Baker and East Forsyth had three completions and a touchdown. Baker hit J.P. Gilchrist for the first of three touchdowns connections from 34 yards out.
Baker threw for five touchdown passes and rushed for one. He had one interception in the game, but it wasn’t consequential as the Eagles were already up by five scores.
(East Forsyth, only local/area team HSOT was popping from last night.)
Not many games for next week:
Smith at Thomasville
Eastern Guilford at Western Alamance
North Rowan at High Point Andrews
