Working to get past that “Twilight Zone” we got caught up in last night, and headed to greener pastures this morning, is what we are leaning toward…Every been out there in the pasture land, and tried to get under or around that ‘Electric Fence’…You can’t go through it, but your best bet is get a piece of green grass and test the fence, by touching it with that blade/piece of grass…You have to go under, or over it, and you can not go through that LIVE electric fence…When you touch that ‘Electric Fence’ with the blade of grass, you find out just how LIVE that fence really is….And don’t what Ren and Stimpy used to say, about that ‘Electric Fence’…They said, well you may remember what they said….”Don’t, _____________, fill in the blank, on the ‘Electric Fence’.”
(Just had to go back and look this one up)…..
We need to get past ‘The Fence’, and really get off ‘The Fence’ and get into the Saturday Morning Rewind…
Some question marks this morning on how the Northwest Guilford QB Anders Mitchell is doing today…He had to leave the NWG-Page game, and they took him into the medical tent…Did not see him when he came out, but hoping everything turns out OK for him…He took a hard hit, and he looked a bit woozy as he was leaving the field…
Also Timothy Baker had to leave the Western Guilford-Grimsley game, and we got this report from Western Guilford:The air was sucked out the stadium late in the game with WG Tim Baker Jr suffering a tough injury knocking him out the game. Hope the young leader is ok and rebounds from the injury….We say here, here on that one…Also hoping Timothy Baker, the Touchdown Maker is OK, and keeping him and Anders Mitchell from NWG, in our thoughts this morning….
Other questions abound as to how do we gauge our teams, after last night’s results…We saw all those blowout scores and there was only one REAL close game we saw in the area, and that was the 36-35 win for the Southeast Guilford Falcons over the Ragsdale Tigers…
Still wondering exactly where we stand, as our teams are all still standing after Week Seven of the 2024 season, but we have many questions left to BE answered, and many solutions remain to be Uncovered, and we will do our best to keep the trails hot, in the pursuit of those conclusions….
In that “Pursuit of those Conclusions”, we turn to the Friday Night Football Highlights Shows….Friday Football Fever, with Jaylen Gilkey and Logan Campbell hit first last night, as the Friday Football Frenzy still has to sit on hold each week, as the spell-binding games like Oregon-Michigan State unfold before our very eyes…

One game down East postponed last night, but not due to the Weather…from Nick Stevens at the HSOT…
Friday’s Week 7 football game between North Pitt and SouthWest Edgecombe has been postponed due to safety concerns.
According to SouthWest Edgecombe High School, the decision was made at the advice of the Edgecombe County Sheriff’s Office. However, the school said there was no threat to the school itself.
Anyone who has purchased a ticket for the game can use it when the game is made up. The new date has not yet been announced.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the safety of our students, staff, and community,” the school wrote on Facebook.
The school did not say what the nature of the safety concerns were.
SouthWest Edgecombe is 4-2 on the season and 1-1 in the Eastern Plains 2A Conference. North Pitt is 3-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
