Coach Davis took a page right outta the ole 1980’s Coach Kirby playbook by running the Page Wishbone offense, and controlling the clock in the 2nd half. Tough win!
Kirby didn’t start the Wishbone. Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, and teams like that were running the Wishbone back in the 1970’s and all the high schools around here were too. Kirby wasn’t even around here back in those days. Sure wasn’t Kirby’s Playbook. He got it from somebody else. The Wishbone is a 70’s deal. Kirby didn’t show up around here until the 80’s.
