High School Football Tonight(10/10/2025) in and around Guilford County
Ragsdale(0-6) at Grimsley(6-0) 7pm
Important Conference game and with the scare that Ragsdale left over at Page last week, the RHS Tigers must be taken seriously, and after the Ragsdale JVs topped Grimsley on Thursday night, the Ragsdale Tigers are on a high, and are ready to knock off somebody, but that somebody does not appear to be the Grimsley Whirlies…Ragsdale has some big players and Grimsley is big all over the place…Big in size, and big in making big plays…Playmakers all over the place at Grimsley HS…Grimsley would have to be taking a night off, and we don’t see that happening any time soon…Hudson Cooper is one of the most dangerous men on the field for the Whirlies…He does a lot of things good…QB Brody Lowe knows which way to go, and Catoe(Kaden) has been playing both ways, with his defensive input just as important as his offensive work…QB Sion Stevenson runs the show for the Tigers, but they will need to establish some type of running game to successful vs. Grimsley…Don’t rule out the running clock in this one…Grimsley has given up six points in conference games so far this season…Games went 65-0 vs. Southwest Guilford and 66-6, over Western Guilford….
Dudley(4-3) at Western Guilford(5-2) 7pm
Look for Dudley to look to their QB Brayden Jeffries and their RB Michael Boone, and the Panthers will try and get both Jeffries and Boone going strong with the run game…Dudley should have success throwing the ball vs. Western, but the Dudley run game should be their bread and butter in this contest…WG has one of the top running back stables in our area with RBs Timothy Baker and CJ Blevins, plus their QB Caleb Moore is a much better runner than passer…You might be able to smell this one out, without the aid of a bloodhound….Run game, and run that clock…If you get the ball and the lead, run and let the time run on….Ground and Profound around the Doug Henderson Stadium on this Friday night….Mike Fanning their on the call/broadcast of this game on GreeensboroSports Radio 3…Mike on the mic bringing you the Panthers at the Hornets…Dudley unbeaten in the conference, and Western with just one conference loss…GreensboroSports Radio and Mike Fanning has the call of this ballgame…
Page(4-2) at Southwest Guilford(1-5) 7pm
Page almost got sent home, at home last Friday night, when the Ragdale Tigers took the Pirates into Overtime, before Page woke up and secured the win, at the Marion Kirby Stadium…Page has more athletes, with Zamari Williamson, Kasai Poindexter, Chris Armstrong, Marqui Lynch, Zion Malloy, and others…SWG counters all night long with their effective QB Emmanuel Martin…Martin is startin be one of those offensive men that keep their teams flowing and going…The chart on Mart(in) says all is good…Wesley Oxce is big receiving target for Martin…SWG is way behind on their goals of progression, but help is on the way for the SWG Cowboys coming from the middle school level, if the SWG Cowboys can keep all of those up-and-coming Cowboy talents at and around The Ranch…Interesting thing about Page is how well big running back Jesse Poole is playing at linebacker…Poole is taking the opposing offenses to school, and he has a rule, “I Mr. Poole will not Fool Around when it comes to my Tackling”…This kid means business…
West Forsyth(4-2) at Northwest Guilford(1-5) 7pm
Northwest Guilford leaned in on senior signal-caller Anders Mitchell last week in the second half and he helped his Vikings have success through the air…Rakem Hammock is still one of the top receiving targets in the state…NWG for some reason, and part of the problem may well be due to injury, well the NWG Vikings have trouble running the ball this season….Easton Dean has had some injuries, McKinnly Vance has been down with an injury, and the QBs can only run so much before they start to get beat down…The Viking Defense is still strong, but can only be strong for so long, when you are out there on the field, All Night Long…Got to be getting that Vikes’ Defense off the field, and let then sit down and rest part of the time…
Lexington(3-3) at High Point Andrews(5-1) 7pm
For Andrews, QB Cayden Zellous is going out for awhile with a broken collar bone, but that has not shaken the inner core of the Red Raiders…HPA has been lookig to David DJ Hill to be their top QB in the absence of Zellous, and the T. Wingate Andrews Red Raiders like what they have been seeing from Mr. Hill…Or should address him as Maestro Hill…He threw for over 300 yards and 5 TD passes in his first full time gig at quarterback, back on Homecoming Day, when the Raiders were laying out the Ledford Panthers…Hill gave the home fans a real thrill, by the way he was tossing the pill/ball…We named him as our RE/MAX Revolution Player of the Week for his efforts vs. Ledford and rightfully so, don’t you know…Andrews can go, and as Mr. Hill goes, so goes T. Wingate Andrews…They can get the job done, in a big way on the NCHSAA 4-A level…Watch out for Coach Mook Reynolds and his Red Raiders…
Northeast Guilford(5-1) at Northern Guilford(5-1) 7:30pm
Another one of our Murphy Wainer Games of the Week on GreensboroSports Radio…Coach Randy Norris will be with us, as we broadcast this game from the Johnny Roscoe Stadium, there at the Northern Guilford High School campus, on Spencer Dixon…This place, the Johnny Roscoe Stadium, can become like a Woods of Terror for many opposing teams, and I am not sure how far we would have to go back to see when it was the last time that Northeast Guilford Rams were able to defeat the NG Nighhawks…Maybe back in the days when Coach Tommy Pursley was still at NEG as the top man in the coaching department…First crack at NG for NEG first-year head coach, Antonio Hall…NG has Jaxson Kemp, and as it stands right now, with Faizon Brandon not able to play for Grimsley due to injury, and with that being the case, we see Jaxson Kemp as the top active quarterback in Guilford County…We have not seen the total breakout year from Jaxson Kemp yet this season, and that is because he has not had to do it for the NG offense…Amare Akers has been running like a combination of T.J. Logan and C.J Freeman, and as far as Northern Guilford football goes, that is the best running game ever…Logan, Freeman, and now Akers…Tops…But NG also has those two receivers in Greyson Council and C.J. Morrison…They get it done like A.J. Styles…Doing it in style and running behind Sam Bagley and his fellow NG NightHogs, the big O-Linemen up front…So how can NEG pull of the upset here??? Got to get the ball in the hands of men like Aaryn Tate, Titus Duff II, and Prince Hansford…Also need to look to big-play man, BreVon Canty…The NEG QBs must get the ball into the hands of Tate, Duff, Hansford, and Canty as many times as possible…NEG QBs Jaquez Crawford and Zorian Campbell…Crawford the better long passer and Campbell also has the ability to run it…Campbell is the top NEG Ram runner this season…NG DBs, Lucas Hilliard and Bobby Bah and others will see a lot of footballs in the air at their place on Friday night…How will be completed is a different story…But if Northeast can maintain a steady time of possession, they will have a chance to win the game…NG will look for the big plays, and the big chunk plays to Morrison and Council to get them inside the 20, and then look to Akers and Kemp to get them into the end zone…Again, this game can be heard on GreensboroSports Radio…
Southern Guilford(2-4) at Eastern Guilford(3-3) 7:30pm
Eastern Guilford lost last Friday night, at home at the Tommy Grayson Stadium, but it was a very close game…In the win over the EG Wildcats, the Southeast Guilford found their success on the ground…Will SG also look to gain ground, on the ground…Southern has that do-all back in RJ Scott…But, we don’t think Southern has the blocking tools that Southeast brought into the Wildcats’ place…Eastern went with their air aide last Friday night, and the Cats’ have a QB that can sling it, and bring it…Javion Majette is very solid as the team leader for Eastern Guilford and he has some very good choice receivers in Keyvon Haynes, Evan Burns, and Chance Patton…All three of those are a threat to take it to The House if they can catch the ball out there in space…EG RB Tyler Whaley-Melvin is a big back, who also catches the ball well, out of the backfield…At 6’0/205, Whaley-Melvin is a load…LB Samari Smith is the mainstay on the EG Defense…We have not seen the SG Storm in action on Game Day this season, but we know they will need more that RJ Scott, to carry them versus Eastern Guilford…
Asheboro(5-1) at Southeast Guilford(4-2) 7:30pm
Looks to be a real battle here, coming up Tonight at the Bill Slayton Stadium, on the Southeast Guilford HS campus…Homecoming too for the SEG Falcons…SEG has a very tought opponet in the Asheboro Blue Comets…Asheboro has a QB in Dallas Brinton that can run the ball, and he joined back there in the Blue Comet backfield by his brother, RB Connor Brinton, and a few observers have been calling those two, “The Great Brintons”…The SEG Falcons are a pure ground and pound running team…Led by Caleb Jackson and Travis Motley, we saw the Falcons attempt 2 passes last week at Eastern Guilford, and the rest of the game, the Falcons just RAN THE FOOTBALL, and let the clock run right along with them…Jackson went down with injury last week, and the Falcons need him back for this one…And it not like Motley can’t carry the load, but with both Jackson and Motley available, SEG is in control…They can it, Like the Wind…And if needed they will add in DB/RB Joshua Williams-Hatten…He is a very good slashing runner, whereas Jackson runs with power and Motley is the speed back…With all of that said and done, SEG could and would not be getting it done without left tackle, Micah Martin…Big number 73, is a sight to see, and when he gets going/blocking, it like the train has left the station…GONE….So watch for Jackson, Motley and Williams-Hatten, running wherever Micah Martin is going…Terrence Norwood and Amir Lyles both laying the wood and bringing the lumber on Defense for SEG…Like Kinderman the Kicker too…We also have this game on GreensboroSports Radio for you too…Demetri Morrison for you on the call from the Bill Slayton Stadium, and sending it all out, over and out, on GreensboroSports Radio…
Asheville School(3-1-1) at High Point Christian Academy(6-0) 7pm
Jaylin Moore makes it go, from his RB spot for HPCA…His running mate back there, Hez Krider is not too shabby either…Moore and Krider with almost a combine 1,500 yards rushing on the year for the HPCA Cougars…QB Amsterdam Knox puts his locks on the stock and makes sure his Cougars are in order, and making strides to the end zone, for scoring purposes…
MORE game in our area….

Northern Guilford 14 to Northeast Guilford 0
Thanks Chris, and it was a good ballgame, with the NG 14, NEG 8 Final….Thanks for being there and thanks for posting those scores…AD…To my knowledge, NEG has never beaten Northern, but they were mighty close at it tonight…
