That 1st quarter was electric, and then Grimsley started grinding out drives, wearing Page down. Page had some success moving the ball but turnovers hurt. Page played with a lot of toughness and grit. The young’ns are growing up!
Page looked good. They did not look outmatched and looked to hang with Grimsley. First quarter showed what they can do. I think this team next year will be even better, and becuase of how young they are, I do see them beating Grimsley within 2-3 years.

Page is led by young juniors and sophomores in basketball as well. Page beats Grimsley in basketball this year, goes 2-0
Will Dudley play Grimsley closer than Page did???
Next Friday, Dudley at Grimsley….Been a while since they have played…
Next Friday game between Grimsley and Dudley will start off even for the first quarter Then Grimsley will take over and finish them off. Offense will come to life in the second quarter and the defense will take over. Dudley secondary to inexperienced to shut down a potent pass attack with so nany weapons. Home finally for the whirlies. They will win in blowout 42 to 13 final score.
Page vs Grimsley will be a game to watch next season. As for Dudley, the coaching staff has done an amazing job with what they’ve had to work with coming into the season. Even after losing 20+ seniors to graduation this game would’ve been very good but losing big time players to Grimsley, Northeast and Page in the off season is too much to over come. Grimsley will win in a blowout.

Yeah the score doesn’t tell how good Page played. The offense moved the ball to Grimsley side a good amount time but just couldn’t finish the drives. Next year will be interesting for sure. Hopefully Page can keep that young core together.
Grimsley was Ducking smoke to play Dudley all these previous years and now we finally get that match cause they have no choice but to play. The city needed this game to happen the past 5 years. It is what it is Grimsley will win with ease next week though.
Grimsley ducked Dudley to play better teams like Rolesville? Yall make no sense. And Page hasn’t beat Grimsley twice in a season in basketball since like 2020. They won the first matchup and then got dominated 3-1 in the season series almost every year. This isn’t the 60s and 70s and whatever decade anymore. The tides changed.
lol Rolesville was not better than Dudley at the time, they get overhyped every year. Try again. They just did not want to take a L to a 3A school. It was no excuse for two top programs in Greensboro not to play each other.
Grimsley basketball has been decimated by transfers/graduates. Page basketball should destroy them this year. Page has a young core, Grimsley does not.
Grimsley didn’t play Dudley because Dudley wouldn’t drop Hillside to make the schedule work. Gotta play that other HBCU high school every year.
