How is Asheboro girls ahead of Southern? Conference record is better than Asheboro and Southern beat Asheboro.
Wow I have always heard chatter about how weak of a conference the Piedmont Triad conference is for girls but intill you look at the standings for yourself you would never know. Atleast 2 teams from that conference will make the playoffs with loosing records. Then you look at the other side of town in the Metro (girls) and there will be at least 2 teams that won’t make the playoffs that could finish 1st or 2nd in the Piedmont Triad. Thats crazy talk about strength of schedule.
With Asheboro it must have become a point of ‘Alphabetical Order’ for Asheboro and Asheboro may also be behind on turning in their stats and results….We need Coach Whitaker to come on here and set all the records straight….He can take that conference if his team will stand behind him and let him lead them to the Title…..He played for Mac Morris over at Page back in the day and Coach Whitaker has learned a lot over the years about running winning basketball programs….

Stacy I dont think you believed that statement even as you typed it. I saw Southern girls play at the SW Guilford christmas tournament. Trust me yall don’t want any problems with the Metro 4A. STAY IN YOUR LANE!!

Asheboro recently loss their 3rd conference game on Friday night to Ledford according to MaxPreps. They have lost to SW Randolph as well as us. So Asheboro’s conference record should read 3-3. What do you mean by if his team would stand behind him and let him lead them to the title.
I am pretty sure East Forsyth girls are 6-2 in the conference.
Just stick with Mr. Whitaker and he will take you places….You have a very good team and he has a good track record of taking good teams on up and to the top….He’s been doing it with the Phoenix for a long time….

We shall see Friday. The last meeting between Ledford and Southern Guilford resulted in a 59-26 loss for Southern. Not sure Southern is quite ready to contend yet.

Southern is ready to contend. U right we will see. Come out Friday to Southern. 2 of the starters Ellis & McFarland are freshmen and have performed huge the last 2 games.
