Hilton Yow of Gibsonville passed away on Monday.  Yow was 87 and he was the father of Kay Yow-NC State women’s basketball coach, Debbie Yow-Maryland Athletic Director, and Susan Yow-now back coaching in the WNBA.  Hilton Yow had one son Ronnie, who played football briefly at Clemson.

Still winning HS Baseball:Northwest Guilford 5-0/3-0 Metro 4-A beat Smith 18-1 on Tuesday, Ragsdale now 6-1 overall topped Southern Alamance 6-5, Grimsley 4-1/2-0 stopped North Forsyth 6-5, Southeast Guilford falls to 4-1 losing 4-3 to Eastern Randolph, Page goes to 5-2 taking Burlington Williams by the 5-2 score and it was WG over NEG plus SG got past Reidsville 4-3.
