Coaching Carousel: Who will be left when the Carolina Panthers get ready to choose/select their new coach???(Russ Grimm’s name keeps popping up.)

Lots of coaching changes around the NFL on Sunday and now today(Monday), it sort of becomes out with the old and in with the new, as we dig deeper into this new year of 2011….Some positions have stayed the same and still others may still be in the process of changing, but here is much of what has happeded so far, and it makes you wonder who will be left/available, when the Carolina Panthers get ready to choose/select their new coach???

I was hearing today that the Carolina Panthers have their eye on former Pitt Panther and Washington Redskin offensive lineman, Russ Grimm…..A former Hog, would be in charge of the Panthers, as their head coach…..Jay Glazer from FOX Sports has been saying all along, that the Panthers are leaning toward hiring a current assistant coach and that is what Grimm has been doing lately…He was with the Steelers as an assistant and then he left for Arizona with Ken Whisenhunt to be the Cardinals’ assistant…..Grimm might be your man/hog…….

Here is how the rest of the list has been taking shape over the past few days/weeks…..

John Fox relieved of his duties on Sunday in Carolina….
Eric Mangini fired today at Cleveland
Wade Phillips fired at Dallas several weeks ago….
Brad Childress let go at Minnesota a few weeks back….
Josh McDaniels released last week at Denver…..
Mike Singletary fired at San Francisco last week….
Marvin Lewis could be out at Cincinnati before day’s end….
Jeff Fisher will meet soon maybe even tonight with the Tennessee Titans….
Gary Kubiak has been asked to come back to Houston with new coaches….
Leslie Frazier will be the head coach next season with the Minnesota Vikings….
Jack Del Rio has been given the nod to return with the Jacksonville Jaguars……

*****There’s plenty more cooking on the back burner……*****

And one more time, Russ Grimm to the Carolina Panthers?……A Redskin coaching your Panthers????? Hmmmmmmm!
