  1. Indy 45
    Page 6 Final
Page just outmatched. Congrats to Indy and Good luck the rest of the way.

Page will return a talented core and will be better next year! The young coaches gained great experience this year too!

  2. Jury still out on Page football

Not sold on the Pirates for next year . Did not win a game against a team with a winning record. And barely beat two teams, Smith and Ragsdale, that were not very good.
Got blown out by the 3 good teams (Providence, Grimsley and Independence) they played.
Played Dudley tight but still lost and the Panthers are a quality program but were a little down this year.
Had some big blowout wins against some really bad teams that were physically overmatched so can’t really tell anything much from those wins.
Probably will finish 3rd in conference again next year behind Grimsley and Dudley as the rest of the conference is traditionally pretty weak.
Can’t remember the last time SW, Western, Ragsdale or Smith was relevant in the high school football scene.
But I guess time will tell.

  3. Page is in year 2 under a new coach and just started another rebuild after Robertson’s didn’t pan out. Coach Hann and his staff have learned a lot this year. Including how to overcome muddied up games like what Smith tried to do and almost succeeded. Remember, Coach Brown at Grimsley went 4-7, 4-7, 7-6 in his first 3 years. So far, Coach Hann is doing quite well, from 3-8 to 8-4.

Page’s top 3 out of 4 tacklers are sophomores and the top DB is a sophomore and just recently received his 6th offer from Ole Miss.
The QB and multiple athletes in key spots on offense are only sophomores as well. Page is returning a solid core of players.
Also they did not play Providence, and a 21 point loss is not a blowout…

  4. Jury still out on Page football

    Oops my bad.
Not Providence Day(who would have named the score against Page) but the 6-5 Charlotte Christian team “squeaked” by Page by 21.
8-4 is a shiny record but when the 8 wins are broken down they came against teams whose combined record was 28-69 or something close to that.
Again time will tell and hope Page can compete with teams like Grimsley next year as it makes high school football more interesting for the area.
But until they win games against stronger programs “ the jury is still out”.

  5. Northwest Guilford and Mt Tabor (2021 state champion) have been pretty darn good recently and were considered above average programs. For Page to beat them handily and when no one thought they had any chance of beating them shows that Page is easily one of the most improved teams in the Triad and probably the state compared to their past 5-6 years..

  6. Jury still out on Page football

NW Guilford was 3-8 and blown out of every game they lost.
Tabor was probably the best win Page had but they had a down year and finished 5-6.
Record wise Page was much improved but still did not beat a team that was good this year.
Beating teams that were good LAST year means very little when talking about this year’s teams.

  7. Jury still out are you ok? It seems like you have a problem with the page coaching staff ? What’s the problem? Do you have a Coach that needs to be coaching Page? You sound salty. But we’re not going go down that rabbit hole. Coaches coach players play. Page will be just fine. There is always one. Hmmmm

  8. Jury still out does have a point, Page improved alot but sitting here thinking we really didn’t have a quality win this year. I do think they’ll improve even more though if they can keep that squad together tho

  9. Grimsley will poach all your decent players and you will be left with nothing and wishing for better times in 2927. Just my prediction.

  10. thats the only way Grimsley will stay relevant, is with recruiting , we all know the kids in the actual district arent that great lol
