Some of the things we are looking at this morning on “The Rewind” are the prayers are still going up today for Josiah Gary from Southeast Guilford High School…Still under observation last we heard, after he suffered an injury in last night’s game with Southeast Guilford at Northeast Guilford…Hoping he is doing better today…Very serious moment when Gary went down late in the fourth quarter at the Bill Bookout Stadium…NEG won the ballgame 28-7, but our thoughts lie with Josiah Gary and his family and friends this Saturday Morning on the Rewind…
Page with a Moral Victory over Grimsley last night??? The Pirates showed a lot of life in the First Quarter, and I heard Kevin Connolly and Danny Harnden from the both FOX 8 Football Frenzy, and they were both thanking Page and Grimsley for all the points that the Whirlies and Pirates put up on the scoreboard in that First Quarter, while the FOX 8 cameras were there and rolling at the game…
The Ragsdale Tigers got/earned their First Win of the 2025 season by knocking off the Smith Golden Eagles in a Metro 4-A Conference game in Jamestown last night…Big/Key/Important win for the Tigers, as they look to close out their season strong…
Those are just a few of the key points from last night’s action, and it was a tough loss on the road for the Eastern Guilford Wildcats down at Asheboro, the Rockingham County Cougars grabbed a very decisive 29-0 win at WS Carver, and Central Davidson rolled past High Point Andrews, 41-6, and more on that game, later in The Rewind….And the High Point Central Bison have still not scored this season…Has that ever happened to one of our Guilford County teams in the past??
Now let’s let The Rewind do its thing, and we will step back and let George Michael push all the buttons…George, it is all yours…And before we go hard local, it got my attention when I saw that Charlotte Independence whipped Mallard Creek bad last night…Final Score:Charlotte Independence 35, Mallard Creek 0…..I guess in some ways, the Charlotte Independence Patriots are back…And now back to the pertinent matters at hand, The Rewind…
First up is the FOX 8 Friday Football Frenzy…They have the highlights and they mentioned that Grimsley has now won 58 straight regular season games, and I saw where the team from Cleveland, down East, they have now won 60 straight regular season games…Those are very impressive numbers from both of those teams..

WFMY TV 2 and their Friday Football Fever Show is next up…Logan Campbell and Bryce Parker leading the News 2 Sports Team into action last night…No Chad Silber on the scene on Friday night…I missed the first 5 minutes, due to getting back a little late from Hicone Road, and the Grimsley at Page highlights were LOOOOOOOOOOONG Gone, but did catch most of the show, and was able to get Page-Grimsley from FOX 8, and their Frenzy…
CLICK HERE for the Friday Football Fever Show….Big plays by Anthony Johnson and Kasai Poindexter from Page, and from Hudson Cooper and Kosci Barnes from Grimsley…Those are on the highlights reel….

Wingate Andrews 6…This game coming to us from Sheets Bottom, North Carolina…
SHEETS BOTTOM, N.C. — Central Davidson’s double-wing offense churned out rushing yards and school history on Friday night.
The Spartans powered past T.W. Andrews, 41-6, to clinch at least a share of their first football conference championship since 1979.
“Our kids came out prepared and played hard,” said Central Davidson head football coach Jonathan McIntosh. “That’s what we talked about all week was coming out and dominating the game. I think we did that from start to finish. That (T.W. Andrews) is a good football team, a well-coached team, and we came out and played well.”

MORE/Moore on the way….Possibly later on today….For now, time to go hook up the plow, and milk the cow…CHOW!!!!!….Has anybody seen Billy Yow?????
Ask UNC about “moral victories”. They don’t do much for you. Dudley game will see a similar result on Friday. Scoring a touchdown does do much for you when you end up getting whipped by 30+.
Beating the 16th ranked team in the nation as the 3000th ranked team after the first quarter is a moral victory.
Man I sure hope Grimsley take a L in the playoff gFans need some humbling.
The young man from Southeast Guilford, Josiah Gary, who was injured last night in the game at Northeast Guilford is home resting, with NO major injuries…Good news coming in this afternoon from SEG Falcons’ head coach Earl Bates…Continue to keep this young man in your prayers…
Good to hear the SEG kid is ok
Dudley fans need the humbling. They have been talking smack for years when they were in that little weak 3A conference.
Yall were scared to face Dudley in the weak 3A conference. Much respect to Page for never ducking smoke.
Dudley hasn’t been the same since their bag man got the Northeast job. The dropoff is not a coincidence.
Keep talking for soon you will Find Out
Just a friendly reminder that Page has been historically dominant in Page vs Grimsley, and only once Grimsley started recruiting did they begin to win.
Actually less recruiting but more kids wanted to come as the coaching, AD, and principal vastly improved athletics at Grimsley. If you build a fret program more kids will transfer in. Just age old facts
Well at the end of the day, Page still has more state championships, rivalry wins, and just a better program historically
